Artist's Description
This is a statue of a Firefighter that can be found at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo NY honoring the Volunteer Firefighters of the City of Buffalo NY. The Volunteer Fire Department in Buffalo NY went to paid Fire Department on July 1, 1880. This statue in in a circular section of Forest lawn Cemetery with smaller graves of the volunteer whose lives were lost in the earlier days of the fire department and the name of their respected fire companies along with their names are on their grave stones.
About Jim Lepard
Jim is an Award-Winning Professional Photographer from Western New York. Jim is a 11-time award winner at the Erie County Fair. He also currently does a lot of Photography for the Fire Service including the Photographer for the Southwestern Association of Volunteer Firemen, as well as several fire departments in the area. Also, a Freelance photographer for Firenews. He is also a Life member of the Lancaster Fire Department of Lancaster NY. Jim does not do a lot of fire chasing but if he is in the area he does make a effort to go to the scene and that some pictures for my brothers, when he is there he usually takes photos of the firefighters in action and also he is thinking about the shot that he can enhance to really make it stand out...
